San Francisco, 18th December 2013 — People filled 22nd St in the Mission District protesting evictions in front of Dattani & Co. over the recent Ellis Act evictions of Tom Rapp and Patricia Kerman by Kaushik Dattani, a San Francisco tax and accounting firm. Protests were held in front of the Dattani office on 22nd St in the Mission District, subsequently ending in a blackout of the Dattani company Web site.
Evictions have increased dramatically during the recent tech boom, adding social and economic pressure to the already volatile housing market in the Mission District. Dattani & Co. was not available for comment.
